Spencer Private Hospitals Ashford now offers a private GP service with Dr Alex Mansell. 

Dr Alexandra Mansell is an experienced General Practitioner (GP) based in Kent, providing a reliable, holistic and patient-orientated private GP service at Spencer Private Hospitals.

What can a Private GP offer?

Commonly encountered GP services are provided, ranging from minor illness diagnosis, initiation of investigations for more chronic and acute illness, alongside referral to specialist Consultants and other allied healthcare professionals including specialist nurses, physiotherapists and counsellors.

All these services can be provided efficiently to the highest standard.

Dr Mansell offers a bespoke, individualised GP consultation service with appointments starting at twenty-minute duration for a specific matter. This allows sufficient time for you to discuss the issue that is affecting you and ensure you feel listened to.

Extended appointments can be booked for patients who wish to discuss more than one issue or prefer a longer opportunity to explore their concerns.

Ensuring that sufficient time is available for you enables a holistic approach to your care where you do not feel rushed or limited by time pressures.

Dr Mansell is determined in supporting her patients to understand their health better and builds a trusting relationship where you know your specific needs are prioritised.

As a busy working mother, Dr Mansell understands the need to ensure healthcare is tailored to your individual needs.

Dr Mansell can offer the following diagnostic services:

• Comprehensive blood tests
• Point of care urine-dip stick testing
• Urine laboratory analysis
• Urine HCG testin for pregnancy
• FIT testing
• ECG
• 24-hour ECG monitoring
• Referral for diagnostic imaging (Ultrasound, MRI, X-ray, CT)
• Cervical cancer screening
• Testing for common genito-urinary infections

Dr Mansell will routinely keep your NHS GP informed of your consultation by sending a copy of your clinic letter and highlighting any specific issues which are important.

If you prefer not to inform your GP, please let Dr Mansell know at the time of your appointment.

The Appointment

• £100 for up to a  20 minute GP consultation.

• £190 for up to a 40 minute GP consultation.

• £280 for up to a 60 minute GP consultation.

All follow up appointments booked at the same rate as your first appointment booked.

Dr Mansell also offers the option for a remote follow-up consultation to patients who prefer this method to fit into their own busy schedules.

Extended appointments can be booked by request.

Some additional services will incur an extra charge. Details of this are available upon request.

Medical certificates, insurance documents and other requests will be considered on an individual basis.

Refunds will be provided for appointments cancelled with 72 hours notice. An administration cancellation fee may be charged
