About

Dr Amilia Alifrangis is an experienced GP with postgraduate qualifications in Womens' Health, and a Masters degree in Sport medicine and exercise health.


Since qualifying as a GP in at University College London in 2011, she has worked in NHS practices, urgent care centres in London and the home counties. Alongside this, she also worked as a private GP and health-screener at Bupa health Clinics for seven years.

Through these roles, Dr Alifrangis has gained considerable experience of caring for patients from all backgrounds, and offers a whole person, preventative care approach in her health screens. Advice and treatment are tailored to the person's needs, and follow up support can be provided to help achieve specific health goals.

Dr Alifrangis is also a Senior Lecturer in Medical Education at Kent and Medway Medical school and a GP appraiser. In her spare time, she works as a volunteer medic in sports events such as the London Marathon.

All services are provided face-to-face and doctor-led.


Private GP appointments

Private GP appointments are currently available for adults aged 18 yrs and above. Standard appointments last for up to 20 minutes, and extended appointments can last up to 40 minutes.

Extended appointments are suitable for discussion of more than one health concern, or conditions such as mental health, perimenopause/ menopause, mens health related queries.

FAQs

Yes

The GP will discuss any medications recommended and issue a private prescription at no additional charge. You can take the prescription to any pharmacy and pay for the medication there.

​Please note that we do not issue controlled drugs or sleeping tablets due to safety concerns as we do not have access to your health records.

Yes

The doctor will provide you with a private referral that can be used to organise an appointment with the relevant specialist or liaise with your private medical insurance company for authorisation. Please note that we are unable influence any NHS waiting list or refer into the NHS system at present.

Blood tests

Any blood tests that are clinically necessary will be discussed with you, and you will be informed of any additional charges incurred in addition to the cost of the GP appointment. They are included in the price of the health checks. Results are usually available within two weeks.

Other tests such as urine tests, stool tests, swabs and smear tests are also available at the clinic.​

 

Investigations

If deemed clinically appropriate, the doctor will provide you with a referral for a private scan, which can either arranged via your private medical insurance, or on a self-pay basis to be carried out locally

​We recommend that you maintain your registration with your NHS GP, and will work with them wherever possible by sharing information with them (with your consent) regarding any treatment or prescriptions provided, so that you can get a joined-up service. 

Payment for the consultation or service will be taken at the time of booking. There is no additional charge for private prescriptions or referrals if done during the consultation.

You may change or cancel your appointment up to 24 hours prior to the appointment online, after which 50% of the fee will be taken.

You may use the automated booking system to change your appointment. If you need to cancel an appointment, please do so at least 24 hours, in order to avoid being charged 50% of the fee. Missed appointments without any notice will be charged the full appointment fee. 

Please note that we do not offer the following services at the clinic:

  • Emergency or walk-in treatment
  • Workplace medicals, firearms licensing or visa applications. These should be requested through your NHS GP as they hold your health records
  • Controlled drugs or sleeping tablets
  • Repeat prescriptions that have not been issued by the clinic doctor
  • Minor surgery
  • Sick notifications for conditions whereby the clinic doctor has not been involved in your care.
  • Weight loss injections
