Background Information

Mr Thakur qualified from Osmania University in India and completed Masters in Orthopaedics before moving to the UK in 1993. He completed the Orthopaedic training in the Guy’s and St Thomas’ rotation. He passed the FRCS (Orth) in 1998. He was privileged to spend a year on the Adult Reconstruction Fellowship programme at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York, USA, learning specialist techniques in hip and knee replacement surgery. He holds a substantive post as Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at East Kent Hospitals working at the William Harvey and Kent and Canterbury Hospitals.
