Background Information

Mr Boshnaq is a graduate of Ain Shams University in Cairo, one of the top universities in Egypt and the Middle East. Due to his excellent grades, he was offered an intense residency program at the university and was later appointed as a lecturer in General Surgery, after completing MD degree.

He moved to the UK in 2012 to pursue a career in general and laparoscopic surgery. Through a national competitive selection, he was offered a place to complete his higher surgical training in the south east. He was successful in attaining a post CCT fellowship at the prestigious Royal London hospital, where he currently holds an honorary Consultant post.

Mr Boshnaq specialises in minimally invasive surgery for gastrointestinal diseases. His main interest is colorectal cancer and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). His scope of work includes;

  • Surgery for lumps and bumps
  • Hernia repair (open and laparoscopic)
  • Gallstones (laparoscopic cholecystectomy)
  • Anal conditions (haemorrhoids, fistula, anal fissure, and pilonidal sinus disease)
