Background Information

Mr Gandra Harinath is a Consultant General and Colorectal Surgeon with a special interest in Paediatric Surgery. He has over 30 years of experience in surgery, including his training.

He completed his postgraduate training at PGIMER in India, followed by specialist training in Cardiff. In 2006, he was awarded a Masters degree MPhiL from South Glamorgan University for completing research in rectal cancers. He was then appointed as a Consultant Surgeon at East Kent NHS Trust.

Mr Harinath manages a wide range of general surgical conditions, including inguinal hernias, gallbladder disease, and colorectal cases. He has a particular interest in colonoscopy services and is actively involved in bowel cancer screening within the Trust.
