Mr Omakobia's main area of interest is in nasal and paranasal sinus surgery; specifically septorhinoplasty (including open and closed approaches), rhinoplasty, navigation-assisted endoscopic sinus surgeries including frontal sinus surgery, septoplasty and turbinate surgeries.
He also undertakes routine paediatric ENT surgery including tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy, grommet insertion, nasal cautery and tongue tie division.

Background Information
Mr Omakobia is a substantive Consultant Rhinologist and ENT Surgeon at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust; mainly practising at the William Harvey Hospital and also at the Kent and Canterbury Hospital.
He completed medical school training at the prestigious University of Cambridge in 2009 and completed higher surgical training in Yorkshire. He then further supplemented his training with a highly competitive Post-CCT advanced Rhinology, anterior skull base, nasal plastic and reconstructive surgery fellowship in Manchester under the tutelage of the then president of the British Rhinological Society.
His main area of interest is in nasal and paranasal sinus surgery; specifically septorhinoplasty (including open and closed approaches), rhinoplasty, navigation-assisted endoscopic sinus surgeries including frontal sinus surgery, septoplasty and turbinate surgeries. He also undertakes routine paediatric ENT surgery including tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy and grommet insertion.
He has extensive experience in medical education and has completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Education in 2022 at Leeds University School of Medicine, securing a pass with Distinction. Following on from this, he is also a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a Member of the Academy of Medical Educators. He has also taught on nasal and sinus surgery courses in the North of England and has been actively involved in multi-centre national research projects relating to sinus surgery.
Mr Omakobia is a highly motivated and determined individual with a strong academic background in terms of research and audit. He has been involved in 34 peer-reviewed publications and multiple international presentations, winning several prizes.
Mr Omakobia is married with 3 young children. He enjoys listening to music, going to concerts and spending time with his young family. He enjoys ‘giving back’ to the local community and takes part in charity fundraising events e.g. long-distance runs. Specifically, he has supported charities fighting childhood poverty and malignancy including World Vision, Tear Fund and CLIC Sargent. He also enjoys playing and watching football in his spare time.
