Mr Tighe is passionate about publishing on quality of care, measured by key outcomes in his specialty.

Mr Tighe has co-lead the biggest project for the Oral & Maxillfofacial Surgeons in the UK, the Quality Outcomes in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery report and co-written the inaugural report published in 2022.

Mr Tighe has led authorship on many peer-reviewed papers charting the development of risk-adjustment processes that are currently embedded in the QOMS audit. In 2020 this body of work was accepted as an MD of published work.

Mr Tighe gained his fellowships in Oral & Maxillfocial Surgery (FRCS-OMFS, RCSEng) in 2015 and in the same year the Fellow of the Faculty of Dental Surgery (FFD, RCSI).

Mr Tighe is a Consultant Maxillofacial Surgeon based in Kent. Between 2017 and 2022, Mr Tighe led the Head & Neck and Reconstructive Maxillofacial Service in East Kent.

Mr Tighe is refocusing his clinical and technical experience by offering you private care to meet patients needs in a more flexible and responsive way.

Mr Tighe's interests beyond clinical work are travelling to far-flung places, cooking and reading broadly. He has 3 children who keep him busy as family taxi, basketball buddy and sous-chef to the family star baker.

Mr Tighe is an active personality and enjoys keeping fit. In 2022, Mr Tighe enjoyed competing in the Whitstable Oysterman Triathlon for the 1st time.
